Leeds Festival
We didn't make it through to the final six to play at Leeds Festival I'm afraid. But some of our friends did so all good.
Thankfully we've got some bigger and better news just around the corner...

Latitude
Toby and I are heading down for Latitude Festival this weekend. It should be a right ball with the likes of The National, Wilco, Midlake, Arcade Fire, Clap Your Hands, Annuals and all sorts of other great acts playing.
Have a look at www.latitudefestival.com - wow!
I'm also lucky enough to be joinging Vessels on stage for a five guitar wig-out on their closer 'Look At That Cloud!'. They're on stage at 4.30pm on Friday. It's the Radio1 Lake Stage thingy. If you're coming down please go watch them.
Easy, Chris

The National

We went to see The National at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham last night and they were brilliant. The set mainly comprised of songs from ‘Alligator’ and ‘Boxer’ with each one sounding huge.
Every track they played seemed to take on a completely new feel to its recorded version with huge crashing delayed guitars, a wholesome pounding rhythm section and insane thrashing violin. It’s also frightening to think of how many of their songs have now become absolute anthems.
To top it off half of Leeds was at the venue and it was great to chat to new and old friends from iLiKETRAiNS, Glissando, Vessels, The Old House, Sandman and Drowned In Sound.
While we’re on the subject of Leeds we’d like to say a big thank you to all the Hold Steady fans who were really supportive of us at the Cockpit gig on Tuesday. It was quite scary to have about 400 people staring at us but we had a brilliant time.

The Hold Steady
We had a cracking Futuresound gig at the Cockpit last week. This Leeds Fest slot may yet come off.
Anyway, on the back of that show we've been offered our biggest gig to dates. Supporting the Hold Steady at the Cockpit. Just us, them and a full house. Yikes!
They're a brilliant band and you probably know all about them from Pitchfork or Uncut or something. Have a listen here - http://www.myspace.com/theholdsteady. We can't wait.
